CEPL provides engineering services for the designing of process facilities. Absorption is an integral unit operation of any refinery and petrochemical industry to minimize the emissions of particulates, SOx, NOx, and other pollutants. Design engineering for the absorption column was proposed by simulating the same in Aspen HYSYS Dynamics. CEPL performed pressure drop calculations for absorber sizing, thus minimizing the vapor losses to the environment and recommending line size and blower size for the same. Column sizing was further optimized by providing constraints concerning emission limits.
